Our Story
We are a European family who moved to Asia in 2011. After a few years in China, we settled in our new home in Phuket in 2018. When we arrived to this beautiful island in the southern part of Thailand, we have been shocked by the amount of beach trash, which inspired us to create SaveUsFromPlastics.
With no prior experience and learning along the way, we invested in recycling machines, leading us to focus on recycling HDPE (or plastic number 2), the plastic commonly found in bottle caps.
The initial aim of SaveUsFromPlastics was to create new and useful designs in the shape of endangered marine animals. Today, we still keep with the same intial idea.
Our Vision
We believe that every small step counts in helping the environment, and that is what SaveUsFromPlastics is all about: turning single-use plastic bottle caps found in beaches and other landfills into long-lasting products.
While more advanced recycling solutions are being developed, we think it is better to recycle plastic bottle caps into something useful than to let them go to waste.
We continue sharing our project with schools and local communities as we believe that education is key to reducing plastic pollution.

Our Project
From Collection to Creation.
Before transforming plastic botlle caps into our new products, we collect them from beaches and other sources around Phuket.
After cleaning and sorting them by color, we shred all the plastic bottle caps into flakes for the injection process. Initially, we could only produce 2-3 units per hour due to our inexperience and a very manual process.
In 2024, we invested in a semi-automatic injection machine, speeding up production which allows to produce 7-8 units per hour, if all goes smoothly.
We also created social media pages on Instagram and Facebook and this website to give visibility to our family project, and also promote our products.
Every sale contributes to environmental efforts, and part of it will go back to the community.
Our Products
Our SEA TURTLE HOLDER was our first product, followed by our SHARK CUP.
Recently, we decided to create our TIC TAC TOE game, which consists of a board and pieces which are SHELLS and STARFISHES. We believe that this game will allow you to have lots of fun while creating awareness about plastic pollution.
Both the board and the pieces are crafted from plastic bottle caps, combining design, sustainability and functionality.
And following the recommendation of someone that purchased several TIC TAC TOE games, we decided to give a new use to the SHELLS and STARFISHES as EARRINGS.
